Beth Harris grew up the daughter of a Baptist Minister , and is currently a special needs mother and Reiki master. She strives to be a ‘Heartist’ (artist of the heart), in this School of Life, and is passionate about helping others reconnect to their hearts, moving past their pain into peace. In ‘Letters to Heaven’ Beth chronicled, through heartfelt poetry and prose, her journey in the 90’s through loss, self-discovery, and spiritual growth. Confronting profound questions about love, grief, and faith, she wrote intimate letters to loved ones lost, and to a Divine Presence, seeking solace and understanding. Each piece was a step toward healing, and offers you a window into her evolving relationship with God, and lessons she uncovered along the way. It is her tribute to Love, to resilience, and to the unbreakable bond that connects us to Divine Companionship. She invites you to reflect upon your own spiritual path and perhaps find strength, comfort, inspiration and a deeper sense of meaning through moments of darkness.

‘Dojo Johnjohn’ continued where ‘Letters to Heaven’ left off, moving from loss and Divine connection, to the unexpected journey of motherhood. She began journaling for her child, envisioning a record of milestones, laughter, tears, and wisdom she thought this incoming soul would appreciate having when it was older. Life unfolded differently, however, and with no medical diagnosis for 14 years, she affectionately dubbed her son’s condition nonconformitosis—an innate tendency toward extreme originality. She continued to journal and it became an emotional refuge as she watched all her old paradigms dissolve. She likened the experience to a caterpillar breaking down in its cocoon, forced to transform. She wrote of her journeys through fear, surrender, and unconditional love. The lessons from ‘Letters to Heaven’ deepened as she applied them to raising a child who defied all norms. As she observed his neurological challenges, she recognized striking parallels to her own spiritual struggles—what she came to understand as her own form of spiritual disability and spiritual autism. Navigating moments of hardship, surrender, and deep revelation, she learned to see life not through its limitations, but through the infinite potential of the heart. She hopes that by sharing this journal, that you too, within your own set of struggles, can explore the power of unconditional love, the wisdom hidden in life’s greatest challenges, and the unseen forces that shape our souls.
